José Rizal University (JRU) joined the NCAA Philippines in 1927, just three years after the league’s founding, making it one of its oldest members. The JRU Heavy Bombers have been competitive in basketball, highlighted by their lone seniors’ championship in 1972, while the juniors’ Light Bombers have also produced standout players over the years. Beyond basketball, JRU has participated actively in other NCAA sports, maintaining a steady presence. Today, JRU continues to uphold its tradition of grit and competitiveness in the league.
